The Carter Family
The Carter Family are known as The First Family of Country Music and were present for the historic Bristol, Tennessee recording session that lead to the recorded birth of what we know as country music. The second generation of Carters included the popular group Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters which included June Carter. The legacy lives on most notable in June's children - John Carter Cash and Carlene Carter, who had a few big hits in the early '90s with "I Fell in Love" and "Every Little Thing."
