Lady Antebellum Shares Touring Lessons Learned

This fall Lady Antebellum will head out on their very first headlining tour with opening act country singer-songwriter David Nail. As cities and their corresponding dates are currently in the process of being announced for their 35-city Need You Now 2010 Tour, the trio hopes to apply the lessons they’ve learned throughout their days as an opening act for the likes of Martina McBride, Keith Urban and currently for Tim McGraw on his Southern Voice Tour.

Lady A’s Charles Kelley shares, “We’ve been given a lot of leeway to put on a good show, you know? Most everybody we’ve ever opened up for has allowed us a lot of use of the stage and creative freedom with our set and given us time at sound check.” Band member Hillary Scott adds that the group has also learned “to leave it all out there.” She explains, “I think that’s one thing that we’ve seen in all of the artists that we’ve had the opportunity to open up for. They give it their all every night, night after night.”

Listen to Hillary reveal what may be the most important thing she’s observed while on the road and Charles outs fellow band member Dave Haywood on what he learned from Kenny Chesney:

Lady A’s Need You Now 2010 Tour kicks off September 20th in Orlando, Florida and will run through November of this year. For more information and to find out when they’re coming to a city near you, check out their official website.
