Little Big Town To Revive Friendships on the Road

On Sunday, July 25th in St. Louis, Missouri, Little Big Town is set to rejoin their former tourmates Sugarland for the duo’s The Incredible Machine tour with newcomer and American Idol alum Danny Gokey along for the ride. This will be the first time since Sugarland’s 2007 Change for Change Tour that Little Big Town has hit the road with Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush and a lot has changed since then. In 2009, the group headlined its own tour and earlier this year, married members Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook became parents to son Elijah.

Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman tells The Boot, “When we were on the road with them two-and-a-half years ago, we developed a great friendship with them and a great collaboration with them with ‘Life in a Nothern Town.’ It’s going to be great being out with them again and rekindle the friendships.”

For new mom Karen, she looks forward to being exposed to Sugarland’s creative energy and tapping into one of the perks of traveling on the road with the duo. She explains, “It’s a creative environment out there. They’re hyper-creative people, and I just expect it to be a really great place for us. I’m looing to losing the last 10-pounds of my baby weight with their yoga instructor!”

Currently, Little Big Town is climbing the country singles chart with “Little White Church.” It’s the debut single from their upcoming fourth studio album The Reason Why which is set to hit stores on August 24th.
