Kix Brooks And John Rich To Celebrate Country Music's History
The Country Music Association is teaming up with the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the unique contribution of country music to America's cultural history. As part of the celebration, Kix Brooks, John Rich, and Lorrie Morgan, along with songwriters Bob DiPiero and Victoria Shaw, are scheduled to perform several classic country songs during an invitation only concert this Tuesday (3/9) in the Coolidge Auditorium in the Library's Jefferson Building. Also, the CMA is donating a leather-bound DVD collection to the Library of Congress featuring all of the annual CMA broadcasts from the last four decades, as well as other TV specials from the past several years including CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock.
